Biography
Originally hailing from Lake Worth, Florida, Paingod operated as a groove-infused thrash metal outfit for a brief span, with Tommy Buckley handling vocals and bass alongside guitarists Mike Pucciarelli and John Paul Soars plus drummer J.C. Dwyer. The group first assembled near 1994 under the name Raped Ape before securing a single-album contract with Century Media on the strength of two early demos. Their self-titled debut appeared in 1997, yet the release marked the band's final output and quickly faded from notice, though Soars later maintained a solid profile through associations with Malevolent Creation and Divine Empire.
