Biography

Hailing from San Francisco, Pale Chalice delivers black metal in its most unpolished and aggressive form, as demonstrated by their 2011 EP titled Afflicting the Dichotomy of Trepid Creation. The group's lineup features the vividly named Ephemeral Domignostika handling vocals, Baneist Nonrutin and Oram Evad on guitars, Grobahn Huv playing bass, along with Masthantric Nodrab on drums; these musicians draw inspiration from Norway's second-wave acts such as Gorgoroth and Darkthrone, as well as U.S. third-wave artists including Xasthur and Leviathan, while incorporating lyrics that explore obscure philosophical ideas. Beyond these details, scant information exists regarding the participants or the ensemble's shadowy objectives.
