Biography
Formed in Wichita, KS, the indie rock outfit Paper Airplanes came together through singer/guitarist Marcus Stoesz, drummer Nathan Wilder, and bassist Anthony Piazza. Onstage the trio expanded its lineup with Les Easterby, Jeff Vidricksen, and Spliff Phillips. Boyhood, the group’s first full-length release, appeared on the small Mayhaps imprint during 2006; the 54°40' or Fight! label later handled its wider distribution beginning March 20, 2007.
