Biography
After the breakup of Winnipeg’s B'ehl, three former members set out to launch a new project. They enlisted Heather Campbell, previously of Bossanova, whose contributions infused their songs with an ’80s new wave sensibility. Paper Moon consequently made its live debut in Winnipeg in early 2001, opening for Robert Schneider of the Apples in Stereo at that first performance. Later the same year the group entered the studio to record its first album. One Thousand Reasons to Stay...One Reason to Leave appeared on Endearing Records in June 2002. The band also issued the six-song EP All Your Little Dreams on Quince Records in Japan. Paper Moon has since played numerous showcases, among them the North by Northeast Festival.
