Blending the luminous haze of dream-pop with buoyant jangle rhythms, reflective warmth, and gentle tenderness, Pastel Coast operates under the guidance of songwriter Quentin Isidore. The outfit unveiled its first long-player, Hovercraft, during 2019, and followed it two years later with the aptly named Sun.

The project first took root beside the English Channel at Boulogne-sur-Mer toward the close of the 2010s, initially conceived by Isidore as a solitary studio endeavor. His vocals occasionally evoke those of Phoenix frontman Thomas Mars. With engineering from David Sagot and contributions from extra musicians, the self-released debut Hovercraft surfaced in November 2019. The band subsequently aligned with Shelflife and Groover Obsessions to issue its next record. Written, tracked, and balanced entirely by Isidore, Sun reached listeners in June 2021.
