Patchwork

Jens Paulsen developed his early skills through classical and folk guitar studies before adopting the project name "Patchwork" to explore an alternate creative path. Working under the banner of the trio "me, myself and I," he shaped a style built on flowing ambient layers infused with electronic and psychedelic textures that might align with the "new age" label, though Paulsen himself views that designation as off-limits. The approach first surfaced on Patchwork's self-titled debut, issued in 1997, then continued with Odeon the following year and Marshmallow in 1999. Diorama surfaced in the middle of 2000.
