Paulito F.g.

Latin dance artist Paulito F.G., born Pablo Fernández Gallo, launched his career performing alongside celebrated salsa acts Adalberto Alvarez y su Son and Dan Den before establishing his own ensemble, Suy Elite, in 1992. He fused Cuban popular styles with funk and rap to build a dedicated audience across Japan and parts of Europe, notably Spain, the Canary Islands, Finland, and France, yet his strongest recognition stayed in Cuba after the 1995 release of his chart-topping single “Que vas a Decir Ahora,” which held the number-one position for nine weeks. The track’s success soon led to a U.S. deal with Universal Latino, followed by the domestic issue of two albums in 1997, Sofocándote and Bueno Soy Yo.
