Biography
Peepshow fuses infectious rock & roll elements with gleaming pop melodies to chart fresh territory within the boldest reaches of the pop/rock spectrum. Late in 1998 guitarist Adam Stackpole assembled the initial version of the band in Seattle, Washington. The next year vocalist Brian Armstrong and keyboard specialist Bobby Lohnes came aboard, completing the roster when drummer Chase Culp and bassist Blake Micheletto signed on toward the close of 1999. With producer Scott Olsen—who had previously collaborated with acts including Alice in Chains, Limp Bizkit, and Powerman 5000—secured, the group entered the studio to lay down its debut demo. Those distinctive tracks quickly circulated through Seattle’s club circuit, earning steady rotation on area stations and drawing enthusiastic notices from the press. The outfit simultaneously built a formidable concert reputation on the strength of its high-energy, commanding performances. In 2001 the musicians committed to tracking their debut album, Serenity, which reached stores before the year ended.
