Biography
Born José Reyes Núñez, Pepesito Reyes earned recognition as a Cuban traditional and improvisational pianist through nearly two decades of performances alongside Joselito Fernández. He founded and performed with Fajardo y Sus Estrellas while also appearing in the jazz ensemble Happy Happy and the Cuban pop group Los Martínez. Following his move to New York, Pepesito Reyes collaborated with Nat "King" Cole, Duke Ellington, Tito Puente, and Astor Piazzola, among other prominent artists.
