Percussions

Kieran Hebden, widely recognized under the Four Tet moniker, launched Percussions as another outlet and introduced the project in 2011 via a tense, dancefloor-oriented track that appeared on Fabriclive 59, a compilation mixed and chosen by Hebden himself. In 2012 he began putting out Percussions material exclusively on 12-inch vinyl through his own TEXT imprint. Three such records had surfaced by the close of 2014, each side filled with meticulously crafted house and techno pieces that retained their appeal even when heard outside club environments. Hebden gathered the existing tracks, added five fresh productions, and issued the resulting collection, available solely as a digital download, under the title 2011 Until 2014 at the start of 2015. The entire set was offered directly through a Bandcamp page created specifically for the alias.
