Biography
Blawan and Pariah, a pair of British techno producers, fuse industrial textures, synth punk edges, and sludge metal weight under the name Persher. Their concise 2022 EP Man with the Magic Soap preceded the denser, more doom-leaning full-length Sleep Well, which arrived in 2024.
Blawan and Pariah have earned wide recognition in techno circles through their separate releases and via Karenn, the analog, improvisation-centric partnership they have sustained since 2011. The duo also helm the respected experimental techno imprint Voam. Persher debuted in 2022 on Thrill Jockey with the volatile industrial metal EP Man with the Magic Soap, a project that departed from everything the producers had previously issued. The even more explosive full-length Sleep Well followed in 2024.
