Biography
Recognized chiefly through his role as guitarist in the High Llamas, Pete Aves launched a solo path by capturing Fidelity in 2001. Diverging sharply from that band’s material, he bypassed standard songwriting conventions to produce a collection that sketched the foundation for Bystanding mere months afterward. The understated yet inventive Downbeat followed in 2003. Cherry Red issued A Family Tree in 2005.
