Details concerning the existence of Pete Harris, a guitarist and singer from Texas, remain scarce. Under the profound influence of Blind Lemon Jefferson, he committed 13 selections to acetate in Richmond, Texas, throughout May 1934, including a pair of alternate performances of "Jack o' Diamonds." Featured among these recordings was "Blind Lemon's Song," his interpretation of Jefferson's "See That My Grave Is Kept Clean," together with a medley of square dance calls.
