Biography
Having fronted the veteran Los Angeles pop/Americana group Last December for many years, Pete RG stepped out on his own in 2012. As Peter Argyropoulos, he established the band during the closing years of the 1990s and guided it through a major-label agreement, multiple syncs in hit TV programs, and a pair of significant albums, among them the acclaimed 2007 release Hailstorm. As the members drifted in the latter part of the 2000s, Argyropoulos shifted focus to producing and scoring for television, all while developing material in private for what became his first solo effort, New Eyes. Adopting the abbreviated name Pete RG, he unveiled a reflective and polished pop style reminiscent of the War on Drugs and the National. After issuing a holiday single in 2013 along with two EPs in 2015, namely Lightning Strikes and Reaching for the Moon, he issued his second album, Tender Souls, toward the end of 2016.
