Biography
Hailing from Sabah, Malaysia, where he first saw the light in 1972, Pete Teo works as a singer and songwriter with a primary emphasis on English-language material. His career has extended beyond recordings into acting, with appearances across multiple films such as the 2007 feature Waiting for Love. The 2003 arrival of his debut album Rustic Living for Urbanites marked an early success that later received awards. A second collection, Television, followed in 2006 and earned extensive nominations at the Malaysian Music Awards the next year. In 2008 Teo took on production duties while also serving as an advocate for the anti-racism ensemble piece "Here in My Home." Additional proof of his range came when he directed several music videos for the storied Malay rock band the Alleycats.
