Biography
An American composer whose early training prepared him for the ministry, this musician also worked as an organist and music editor. His creative output encompassed piano works, solos for organ and violin, operettas, church music, and a wide assortment of songs. Many of those sacred songs belong to the tradition of gospel hymnody, a point illustrated by the volume “Gospel Hymns and Sacred Songs.”
