Phlox

Phlox assembled during 1997, intent on showing how a band might "rock out" while steering clear of tender folk ballads alongside hip-hop-metal combinations. The focus rested on melodic heavy metal paired with power pop. Following the independent issuance of debut album Da Raw Deal in 1998, the complete membership took shape the subsequent year, featuring Danny Desoto (vocals), Chris Cannon (guitar), Brantley Smith (bass), and Jeff Hargens (drums). Their own resources also supported the issuance of second album The Rainbow's End two years afterward.
