Biography
Formed as a five-piece in Rhode Island, Planet Groove blends funk and jazz-rock with added Latin touches. Since starting out in 1995, the group has worked the New England club circuit, mixing original material with covers drawn from King Crimson and Miles Davis. Several independent albums appeared through local channels, yet the first release to reach a national audience arrived with 2002’s Joy Ride.
