Suzy Poling, an interdisciplinary artist and photographer living in Los Angeles, channels her work through the musical project Pod Blotz. Her output merges noise, techno, industrial textures, and experimental electronics into a throbbing, extraterrestrial atmosphere built from analog synthesizers, field recordings, tape manipulation, and distorted vocals.

During live appearances she layers costumes, projections, lighting effects, and props to shape compact alien environments that she inhabits. More than two dozen cassettes, LPs, and CD-Rs have appeared under the project, among them Glass Tears (2013) and Transdimensional System (2020).

Born in Michigan, Poling trained in Chicago and later settled in the San Francisco Bay Area. She launched Pod Blotz in 2002, issuing several CD-Rs before Fish Pies released the debut LP The Swamp Command in 2006. Further cassettes and CD-Rs followed on Chocolate Monk and DNT Records while she played venues and experimental festivals and mounted gallery exhibitions throughout the United States.

After relocating to Los Angeles she issued her second LP, Glass Tears, on Clan Destine Records in 2013; a split LP with Auk Theater also appeared that year. Two tapes, Human Division and Other, surfaced in 2015, followed by The Voltaic Eye in 2016. Difficult Interactions put out the 12" EP Light Mass Body in 2018. Transdimensional System, assembled from material recorded at the Vintage Synthesizer Museum in Oakland, California, arrived on Dais Records in 2020.
