Point Blanc

Point Blanc, born Nicholas Ong, entered the Malaysian hip-hop scene by responding to a newspaper advertisement and securing his spot in the established group Poetic Ammo through an audition conducted over a pay phone. After carving out a distinct role within the ensemble, he stepped away temporarily to launch the rap-metal project Shuvit, whose 2001 release Take It and Shuvit earned both critical praise and strong sales. In 2005 he established Voyeur Records, his independent label, and two years later issued the solo album Straight to the Point. The recording, performed in English, Malay, and Chinese, achieved widespread success and brought the artist multiple awards.
