Biography
Yaroslav Politov, known professionally by the mononym Politov, works as a Ukrainian R&B vocalist whose resonant baritone and magnetic stage presence define his performances. His material centers on love, acceptance, and self-discovery, connecting with listeners across Ukraine and internationally; the 2024 viral single “znenavydiv” spread rapidly across numerous social platforms.
He first attracted widespread attention in 2019 during season five of The Voice Ukraine, advancing to the semi-finals after delivering “The Sound of Silence” at the blind auditions. Ukrainian pop star Jamala served as his mentor on the program. That same year Politov finished second in Ukraine’s National Selection for Junior Eurovision and portrayed Aladdin in the musical Ліхтаріус.
