Biography
Polka Dot Dot Dot crafts an eclectic, spare, and primitive sound that draws equally from old-timey music and the style of '60s girl groups, while evoking such varied acts as Bon Iver, the All Girl Summer Fun Band, and P:ano. In early 2007, while based temporarily in Auckland, New Zealand, three Olympia, WA natives—Jordan O'Jordan, Onyx of Olympia, and Miss Spindleheart—formed the band. Bicycle Records issued their debut full-length, Love Letter to New Zealand, later that year. Soon after the album appeared, the group entered a brief hiatus so that O'Jordan could begin a doctoral program. Polka Dot Dot Dot returned in 2008 with their second release, the Spring of Alchemy and Amory EP.
