Polyrock, a new wave outfit from New York, came together toward the end of the 1970s. Its original members consisted of vocalist Catherine Oblasney along with guitarists Billy Robertson and Tommy Robertson, drummer Joseph Yannece, and Lenny Aaron on keyboards. Drawing from Philip Glass's minimalist approach, the ensemble secured a deal with RCA no later than 1980, issuing their self-titled first record during that period. Philip Glass contributed to both that initial effort and the follow-up Changing Hearts, which appeared in 1981. The band had dissolved by 1982, though ROIR eventually put out the compilation No Love Lost in 1986.
