Biography
Scott "Wino" Weinrich, a longtime figure in doom metal, heads Premonition 13 alongside his earlier work as both performer and creative anchor for the Obsessed, Saint Vitus, Spirit Caravan, the Hidden Hand, and Shrinebuilder, among other storied acts whose histories have already received ample coverage elsewhere. Wino, guitarist Jim Karow, and drummer Matthew Clark formed the unit in 2010. The resulting trio pursues a jam-oriented strain of psychedelic doom that echoes Spirit Caravan; the following year they finished tracking their self-titled debut EP together with the album simply titled 13, both of which appeared on Volcom Entertainment.
