Biography
Jim Peterik, the singer and songwriter whose path began in the Ides of March before he became known for the classic rock hits he wrote for .38 Special and Survivor, conceived Pride of Lions as his own venture. He launched the project in 2003 alongside vocalist Toby Hitchcock, carrying the anthemic style forward into the present era.
The two first connected after an Ides of March show in Hitchcock’s hometown of Valparaiso, Indiana, when the vocalist sought out the guitarist and singer. Peterik was already assembling Pride of Lions and quickly saw that Hitchcock fit the vision.
Their self-titled debut album appeared in 2003 and was followed later that same year by the EP Sound of Home. The full-length The Destiny Stone arrived in 2004. Live in Belgium, a concert recording, surfaced in 2006, and the studio album The Roaring of Dreams came out the following year in 2007. Immortal was issued in 2012, with Fearless emerging five years later in 2017.
