Biography
Jesse Atchison and Darren Tablan, both formerly of the Minty Fresh new wave outfit Floraline, form the conceptual pop duo Private Lessons. Their debut album False Alarms emerged in 2004 from a compact loft space in Atlanta, GA, where the pair combined vintage keyboards, drum machines, and stacked Beach Boys-style vocals. The resulting sound calls to mind classic video games and early-’80s coming-of-age movies, and the project stands as the first release on No No Records.
