Biography
Established in 1999, Finnish metal band Profane Omen consists of vocalist Jules Näveri, guitarists Williami Kurki and Antti Kokkonen, bassist Tomppa Saarenketo, and drummer Samuli Mikkonen, with numerous other musicians having appeared in the lineup across the years. Their first recordings surfaced in 2000 via the demo Bittersweet Omen, the initial entry in a run of similar releases that followed over the ensuing period. After putting out the EPs Label of Black in 2002 and Adrenaline in 2004, the group delivered their full-length debut Beaten to Submission on Dethrone Music in 2006. That album reached the Top 30 on the Finnish albums chart and preceded the 2007 EP Disconnected. Their next studio album, Inherit the Void, arrived in 2009 and outperformed the earlier effort by entering the Top Ten.
