Biography
Proudentall, an indie rock band based in Kansas City, first assembled in 1996 among four classmates from the same high school: Matt Dunehoo handling vocals and guitar, Clay Zimmerman on guitar, Billy Ning on bass and vocals, and John Cruz on drums. Under that original lineup the quartet issued two self-titled cassettes plus the 7" Snowed Skyline/Island. Zimmerman departed after graduation, reducing Proudentall to a trio that went on to contribute tracks to several compilations and a split single with the Anniversary. Those appearances preceded the release of the band’s debut album, What’s Happening Here, in 1999. What’s Happening Here appeared two years later.
