Psiker's Italian synth pop relies on drum machines and draws from multiple British eighties acts, especially Gary Numan and New Order. Logic became his first proper studio album in 2008, after which the Italian-language Genial followed in 2011. Later projects such as 2014's Exist introduced strings, guitars, and woodwinds on selected tracks while preserving a foundation of dark, pulsing, dance-oriented synth material. He sustained that direction across subsequent releases that alternated languages, among them the collaboration-focused Maximo in 2016, Momentum in 2020, and Retrofront in 2022, the final of which examined the monotony and pressures of daily office existence. On that album he recruited numerous outside producers for the first time, several originating from the Italian rap world.

Milan native Psiker, who functions as singer, songwriter, and producer, absorbed the synth pop of the eighties and early nineties before starting his project in the early 2000s. The demo albums Delivery in 2003, Daydreams in 2004, and Artismo the following year helped shape his melodic yet icy aesthetic ahead of more extensive studio collaborations. Logic appeared as his first English studio LP in 2008 and led to the Italian Genial in 2011. Synthetico arrived as an EP the next year, and Exist followed as his third album in 2014, including the track "Eyes Wide Open" produced by Shiver, who had supplied additional programming on earlier releases. Late 2016 brought the Italian Maximo, which incorporated appearances by fellow synth pop practitioner Luca Urbani and vocalists Francesca Gastaldi, Raffaella Destefano, and Odette Di Maio.

Momentum, released in 2020, remains Psiker's most globally oriented album; he initiated writing in Donegall, Ireland and completed it with Belfast musician Jonny Fitch on programming, guitars, and bass plus Copenhagen-based HunBjørn on vocals and choirs, both located through social media. More personal than his customary work, the record surfaced two days before his fortieth birthday in March 2020 and marked twenty years of his musical identity.

In 2022 Psiker joined ADA Music Italy/Warner Music Italy. His initial single for the label, "Ctrl Alt Canc" featuring Lucanian rapper Vega and produced jointly with Whizy, appeared on the Italian sixth studio album Retrofront that September. Although still centered in synth pop, the set ultimately involved seven distinct producers, most drawn from the Italian trap and rap scenes.
