In 1992 two Germans named Tommi Eckhart and Klaus Loschner, the latter also known professionally as DJ Good Groove, first met and launched the project Pulse with the goal of producing minimal, driving techno. Their earliest work consisted of remixes for the Disko B label, beginning with a version of Caesar's "Don't You Do It." Pulse next joined the Harthouse roster and delivered the release "Outlaw Parts I and II" in early 1993. The duo's first full-length album, Surface Tensions, followed in 1994. Eckhart maintains a parallel role in the trance outfit Perry & Rhodan, while Loschner, recording once more as DJ Good Groove, has issued two volumes of Drummatic Tales.
