Biography

The band Puritan weaves elaborate layers within soft pop by means of its varied songwriting methods, a process that led the musicians to label their own style "marmoreal, geography-rock." Having started in California, the group shifted its base to Honolulu in 1999 and there secured a contract with Elsinor Records. Their debut full-length, How To Move a Piano, appeared later that same year.
