Biography
Pushmen, the Austin, Texas metal group whose name references the uniformed Japanese subway attendants called pushers who pack riders into train cars, came together in 2011 with vocalist Craig Moore, guitarist Joey Cortez, and ex-Sword drummer Kevin Fender—each previously active in the '90s thrash band Employer Employee—alongside guitarist Mark Nathan of Heartless Bastards and bassist Cooper from Bad Powers and Made Out of Babies. The hard-hitting five-piece introduced its punishing fusion of doom, noise, punk, and post-hardcore on the 2013 End Records release Sun Will Rise Soon on the False and the Fair.
