Q-Burns Abstract Message

Michael Donaldson works under the alias Q-Burns Abstract Message as an Orlando, Florida-based DJ, producer, and remixer. He belongs to the local Eighth Dimension collective, through which his wide-ranging material has appeared on multiple compilations, EPs, and singles issued by assorted labels while also supplying remixes to artists such as Faith No More and Us3. Landing the support slot for the Chemical Brothers’ American tour prompted his 1997 signing to Astralwerks. The label issued his first single, “Touchin’ on Something,” late that year, followed by the singles anthology Oeuvre in 1998. Invisible Airline surfaced three years afterward.
