Biography
Q-Nice stands among the top hip-hop poets throughout the Cleveland, Ohio region. Born Quentin Finley, this young John Adams High alumnus delivers rapid-fire rhymes with a fresh, staccato delivery that matches the pace of his ideas. He has performed coast to coast, hitting stages from Memphis and Los Angeles to the Bronx, where crowds respond to his high-energy presence, magnetic charisma, and singular fusion of rap and poetry. Venues such as the United Negro College Fund Viewing Party, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Dayton’s Fly City Fest, the 93 FM WZAK Anniversary Party, and Fox TV 8 in C-town have showcased his abilities. In addition, he co-hosts the local hip-hop program Video Visions on WUAB Channel 43, spotlighting emerging acts.
He first stepped into the spotlight at age nine and has refined his craft continuously, later acquiring strong producing and arranging abilities. Q-Nice appears on Smooth Approach’s You Got It CD, contributing verses to “On My Mind,” “Never Enough,” and additional cuts. While pursuing a bachelor’s degree at Cleveland State University, he joined the Cleveland National Poetry Slam, absorbing varied lyrical approaches that feed into his evolving material. The dynamic artist remains Smooth Approach’s preferred touring companion, performs with the rap collective Urban Division, and records his debut album for Executive Hits Records.
