Biography
Tarver entered the world around 1982 in Los Angeles, California, USA. An emerging youth R&B artist, he first took the stage at age eight and five years later signed a recording agreement with Virgin Records. Managed by Chris Stokes, who also steered the US teen phenomenon Immature and booked Tarver on tour with the group, he delivered his debut single in April 1996. The release, ‘It’s You That’s On My Mind’, presented a highly stylized, commercial R&B record aimed squarely at adolescent audiences. His debut album arrived later that year, winning broad acceptance across the American teen market while drawing harsh assessments from critics.
