Biography
Erica Quitzow functions as the solo endeavor Quitzow, wielding multiple instruments to craft an electro-pop aesthetic that spans Moog synthesizers to cello. Conceived chiefly as a home recording venture, the project periodically enlists additional musicians and acquaintances to supply distinctive accents that shape its singular character. Stage appearances have drawn on many of those same associates and partners who contributed to the studio sessions with Erica. The first album, the self-titled Quitzow, took shape inside her New York residence before surfacing in 2004 amid widespread critical praise. In 2008 she issued the follow-up full-length Art College through the Young Love label.
