From a young age, country singer and songwriter Rachel Farley held a clear ambition to build a life as a professional musician and performer. Born March 18, 1995, in Lawrenceville, Georgia, she first grasped the guitar at age 11 and began crafting songs the following year, taking the stage wherever she could find an audience. One night at a songwriter’s round, Brantley Gilbert noticed her talent, brought her into his circle, and soon had the 13-year-old logging as many as 100 shows annually while opening his concerts; she later served in the same role for Jason Aldean. After signing with Red Bow Records, the 17-year-old saw her debut single, “Ain’t Easy,” reach the country charts in early 2013. When her first album, produced by Michael Knox, arrived later that year, the still-18-year-old Farley already carried the experience of a music-industry veteran.
