Biography
Rachel Gaudry came into the world on Christmas Day and first encountered music by beginning classical piano lessons at the age of six. Once she completed jazz studies at the Canberra School of Music, she methodically built an audience by performing across her native Australia. During 1999 she crossed the United States on tour and appeared at several industry showcases, among them the CMJ Music Marathon. Two years later she issued her debut album, Leaving Traces, through the independent label she had founded herself.
