Biography
After completing studies with Messiaen and inside the Groupe de Recherches Musicales, Boesch accepted the directorship of the Lausanne Conservatory in 1968, only to resign the post four years later and devote himself entirely to composition. His catalog embraced film and theater scores together with pieces for instruments, electronics, and mixed media. Serving as both performer and improvisational organizer, he joined collective projects mounted by the Paris ensemble GERM and the Bern collective Neue Horizonte. Also in 1972 he partnered with a sculptor on an undertaking that united tape music with visual elements.
