Raiza

In 2000 the Chilean pop/rock threesome Raiza came together through drummer Yuri Hevia, previously heard on DeKiruza and Illapu sessions, guitarist Ernesto Kong, and singer/bassist Gustavo Figueroa. A five-song demo of original material quickly led to a contract with Sony Music. Teaming with producer Andrés Sylleros, the group captured its debut album, Claroscuro, in a polished Latin-rock style. The band’s first MTV Latino exposure arrived soon afterward via the single “Nacer En Vida.”
