Biography
Since issuing 10 Songs in 1996, Ramona the Pest has sustained an independent stream of Pixies-influenced alternative rock albums. The San Francisco area has long embraced the band as a favored live act built around songwriter/vocalist Valerie Esway, guitarist Lucio Menegon, and drummer/multi-instrumentalist Pat Spurgeon. Their third full-length album, Birds, Bugs, Bones, appeared in fall 2001, after which the group kept funding its work by routing shows across the Southwest rock circuit.
