Ravenous

The Ravenous took shape around a core of classic death metal steeped in gruesome lyrics, an approach that aligned perfectly with its status as a supergroup. Vocalist Killjoy of Necrophagia and Viking Crown joined bassist Dan Lilker, whose résumé already included Anthrax, Brutal Truth, Nuclear Assault, and S.O.D., while drummer Chris Reifert and guitarists Danny Coralles and Clint Bower arrived as Autopsy and Abscess veterans. The band assembled in 1999 and issued its lone release, Assembled in Blasphemy, via Hammerheart Records the next year.
