Biography
Ré Lxuise crafts contemporary R&B around melodic, atmospheric slow jams. The Detroit, Michigan native, born ReVana Louise Stanfield as a singer and songwriter, advanced her path once she moved to Atlanta, Georgia. Early notice arrived after she posted covers on social media. Throughout 2016 she contributed to multiple projects, among them Elhae’s All Have Fallen; the artist subsequently placed her on the roster of his Dream Loud Music Group. Early the next year the label released her debut EP, DM Me. Later in 2017 she appeared on two tracks from Musiq Soulchild’s Feel the Real as one-third of the group BLAQGxLD alongside Musiq and Willie Hyn; the album earned a Grammy nomination for Best R&B Album. In 2018 Lxuise issued Nostalgia:199X, which included a guest spot from her father, veteran gospel artist and pastor Rudolph Stanfield.
