Biography
Canadian vocalist RealestK infuses his trap-tinged R&B creations with an air of enigma and somber emotion, yielding tracks that hook listeners at once. While still enrolled in high school he wrapped his debut 2021 single “WFM,” which promptly charted on Billboard and earned him a Columbia Records contract that supported later singles plus the 2022 album Dreams 2 Reality and 2023’s Real World. The Toronto-based artist began issuing music at age 17. His hypnotic, emotionally raw R&B preserved the inward-looking spirit of Drake and the Weeknd yet introduced his own isolated lyrical viewpoint and more trap-oriented beats. A teacher reprimanded him for refining the video of his first track “WFM” during class, but upon release the song entered the Billboard Top 100 and quickly amassed multi-million streaming figures. RealestK promptly signed with Columbia, partnered with a management team, and continued dropping material through the balance of 2021. Cuts such as “Toxic,” “Confessions,” and “Only You” appeared next, and in February 2022 he unveiled the especially lovesick ballad “Love Me,” followed that October by his debut album Dreams 2 Reality. Multiple singles and the eight-track project Real World surfaced in 2023; in April of the following year RealestK released the new song “Let Me Go.”
