Biography
As the sibling of singer Arthur Prysock, Red Prysock stands out as an intense and lively player of the tenor saxophone. In addition to supporting his brother during multiple successful recordings on the Old Town label throughout the 1950s and 1960s, he also performed alongside Tiny Bradshaw. During the middle portion of the 1950s, he gained popularity as a jukebox performer on Mercury Records, even if those particular tracks lacked the widespread attention necessary for achieving hits across the nation.
