Biography
In 1990 vocalist Rikard Jansson and Crematory drummer Mats launched the Swedish grindcore unit Regurgitate. Their debut demo channeled the brevity of early Napalm Death by packing eleven tracks into roughly two minutes.
A 1992 split 7" EP with Germany's Vaginal Massaker appeared under the title Poserslaughter. The next year the band returned to the split format with several collaborators, among them Japan's Grudge and Germany's Dead; the latter introduced new guitarist Urban.
Their first proper album, Effortless Regurgitation Of Bright Red Blood, arrived in 1994 with thirty-seven songs, yet the group had already disbanded well before Relapse Records gave it worldwide release in 1999.
Renewed attention prompted Jansson and Urban to reassemble Regurgitate with bassist Glenn and drummer Jocke. The reformed lineup delivered the 2000 full-length Carnivorous Erection, the 2001 EP Hatefilled Vengeance, and the 2003 LP Deviant.
