Biography
Originating from Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, Reign Ghost formed as a rock outfit during the final years of the 1960s. Its roster proved fluid over time, incorporating vocalist Lynda Squires alongside guitarists Bob Bryden and Jim Stright, keyboardist Dave Hair, bassists Jerry Dufek, Russ Erman, and Joe Gallant, plus drummers Helge "Rich" Richter and Bob Stright. The group secured a contract with Allied Records in 1968, which produced a self-titled album issued the following January. After its release the ensemble disbanded, only to reassemble promptly under the identical name. Retaining its association with Allied, the act mounted a fresh attempt yet ultimately folded by 1970, with members shifting to separate ventures. Reign Ghost's debut album received a re-release in 1991.
