Biography
Rhyan Douglas crafts an emotive fusion of R&B, folk, and soul draped in rich, atmospheric production. Operating from the Toronto outskirts, this vocalist, composer, and guitarist teamed with Wondagurl and Eli Brown to shape his first extended play, the 2024 release Circles.
He grew up in Brampton, Ontario, where a neighborhood youth choir first revealed his vocal talent. From that starting point he honed his delivery before turning to songwriting shaped by Thundercat, Sam Smith, and Frank Ocean. Still in his teens he secured a Sony contract and surfaced with the seductive 2023 cut “Last Page.” After the acoustic follow-up “Young & Reckless,” he supported 6LACK on tour and opened 2024 by issuing the varied singles “Conversations” and “Spin the Block,” both later featured on his nine-song debut EP Circles, which appeared in March.
