An ‘old school’-modelled house music outfit operating from Nottingham, England, issued its debut single ‘Nu-Groove’ on Network Records in early 1992. The record drew notice through a sample lifted from the film The Angel Who Porned Her Harp. Mark Gamble and Mark Ryder made up half the act, while Leroy Crawford served as an additional contributor. Released the same year under the alias Rhythmatic2 [squared], ‘Energy On Vinyl’ preceded Splat! What A Beautiful Noise, a follow-up that failed to match expectations.
