Biography
Rich Jacques, working as a singer and songwriter, produces sincere atmospheric pieces that recall the style of notable pop figures including Neil Finn, Michael Penn, and Ron Sexsmith. During the late 1990s he first honed his skills as part of Brownie Mary, the alternative rock band signed to Sire Records, and later pursued an independent path performing as a backing musician, session contributor, and solo performer. In 2005 he issued his initial album, Technicolor Movies, a set of original songs organized around the central notion of the "friction of being human."
